Alumni and guests enjoy dinner and drinks as they watch the Capitals play in the Koch's private box.

WASHINGTON ALUMS NETWORK AT CAPS GAME

On Thursday, Jan. 24, over 20 D.C. area alumni and guests gathered together to watch the Washington Capitals defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1.

Guests viewed the game from Koch Industries private box, which was provided by Desiree Westby (B 02), who is a Government Relations Analyst at Koch.

Food and drinks were provided as the alumni of various institutes and years networked with one another.

DINNER AND A PLAY WITH PITTSBURGH ALUMNI

New Pittsburgh Chapter President Liam Carstens (A 07) hosted a dinner and play event on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The alumni and guests enjoyed dinner at Olive or Twist where they networked with one another and discussed their time at TFAS. After dinner they headed over to the Byham Theatre for a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

"The event went very well and the company and conversation was fantastic," said Carstens. "All of the alumni seemed to have a wonderful time and everyone expressed interest in the next event."

KANSAS CITY ALUMNI DINNER

On Tuesday, Jan. 29, International Programs Director Michelle Jeffress (J 96, A 97), who is also a Missouri native, hosted an alumni event at Fred P. Ott’s restaurant in Kansas City.

The group of alumni and guests enjoyed dinner and drinks in a private room while they networked with one another.

“We really had a good time, and it was so nice to meet alumni in my home state,” said Jeffress who was in the area for a recruiting trip at William Jewell College. “We had great conversations and they are excited for the next big Kansas City alumni event.”

STATE OF THE UNION WATCH PARTY IN CHICAGO

New Chapter President Alissa Swango (J 00, I 02) hosted a state of the union watch party at The Kerryman Bar in downtown Chicago on Monday, Jan. 28.

The alumni and guests enjoyed a round of drinks on TFAS while they networked with one another and discussed their time in various institutes and also discussed politics.

The alumni were happy that the Chicago chapter was up and running once again and expressed their enthusiasm at the next upcoming event, which will be a chocolate-tasting tour for the end of February.
