AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN ECONOMIC REPORTING
To be presented to a magazine or newspaper writer whose series provides the
best understanding of free market economic principles and their impact on
policies and markets.
The Economic Journalism Award is presented to a magazine or newspaper writer,
or team of writers, whose work best expands the public's understanding of
economic theory and reality. The award is open to both reporters and analysts,
but the judges seek to reward writing that features outstanding original
reporting and fact-finding married to superior analysis.
Former Newsweek chief economic correspondent and current contributing editor
Rich Thomas chairs the panel of judges. Mr. Thomas serves on the Board of
Visitors of IPJ.
