The Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service educates undergraduate students in ways consistent with the American traditions of philanthropy and individual responsibility. The residential program is held each summer at Georgetown University.
Students deepen their understanding of the history and ethics of philanthropy by attending two classes taught by faculty of the Center on Philanthropy. In addition, students attend lectures by noted figures in the philanthropic sector and gain valuable professional experience through internships with charitable organizations, foundations and corporate giving programs.
