SAYING HELLO AND GOODBYE TO ALUMNI AFFAIRS ASSISTANTS- 08/01/06

On July 12, TFAS welcomed Pittsburgh native Maura Bennardo onto the full-time staff. As the new Alumni Affairs Assistant, Bennardo will produce the monthly e-newsletter, coordinate all alumni event logistics and promotions and serve as the primary contact with alumni.

Bennardo is a 2006 communications arts major of Allegheny College in Meadeville, Pa. She worked as a sales and marketing intern at the Improper Bostonian and served as a co-chair for the American Cancer Society’s Allegheny campus Relay for Life.

Melissa Mendoza has served as the Alumni Affairs Assistant since August of 2005, a position she accepted after working at TFAS as an intern for a year. She is leaving TFAS return to her native state and to attend graduate school. Mendoza, a 2005 Georgetown grad, is enrolled in a multimedia journalism program at the University of Texas at Austin.

“Melissa will be greatly missed,” said President Roger Ream. “She has made many valuable contributions to the alumni program while on staff.”
