In 2013, TFAS and FTE joined forces to enable students from the high school level through college and post-graduate to receive a strong foundation in economic education.
Economist John Taylor will deliver keynote remarks at the dinner to celebrate the new partnership of TFAS and FTE, and to honor outgoing FTE leaders Jerry Hume and Gary Walton.
Celebrating Economic Education
March 13 • The Fairmont Hotel • San Francisco
The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) and The Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE) invite you to a dinner celebrating their new strategic partnership and paying tribute to FTE’s outgoing leaders, Jerry Hume and Gary Walton. The evening will also feature keynote remarks by economist John Taylor, the Mary and Robert Raymond Professor of Economics at Stanford University and George P. Shultz Senior Fellow in Economics at the Hoover Institution.
Since 1967, TFAS has been educating college students about free-market economics and limited constitutional government. Now, TFAS has extended its influence to the high school level by entering into a strategic partnership with the Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE). Founded in 1976 and based in Davis, California, FTE is a national leader in conducting economic education programs for high school students and working with teachers to develop lesson plans and exercises for teaching economics. Together, TFAS and FTE can train a new generation of leaders who understand the economic way of thinking.
