The Rowny Paderewski Scholarship Fund is dedicated to Ignacy Jan Paderewski’s philosophy that freedom and democracy are enhanced through education and the arts.

The Rowny Paderewski Scholarship Fund was instituted in 2004 by General Edward L. Rowny, who passed away at 100 years old in December 2017.

Rowny Paderewski scholarships provide a unique educational opportunity for exceptional Polish students, allowing them to come to Washington, D.C. to attend summer programs at The Fund for American Studies (TFAS). Each scholarship awards $11,426 for tuition, housing, airfare and a stipend for living expenses. Since its inception, the Rowny Paderewski Scholarship Fund has granted scholarships to 13 outstanding Polish students. Past recipient biographies can be found here.

The Fund for American Studies is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to preparing college students for honorable leadership by teaching them the ideas of freedom and a free-market economy.
