CHAIRMAN RANDY TEAGUE VISITS KOSOVO AND TURKEY

On June 20, Chairman Randy Teague visited Kosovo where he had dinner with area alumni.

Nearly 15 alumni attended and the group and the enthusiasm of alumni in the area to begin a chapter was at an all time high.

“What an outstanding group of alumni!” said Teague. “They were so full of enthusiasm for their participations in TFAS and so excited to recruit students to the programs.”

Teague also mentioned that the group of local alumni held their first chapter meeting the following week and are now in the works of setting up a permanent chapter for the area.

Following his time in Kosovo, Teague headed to Turkey where he met with nearly 10 alumni for dinner and drinks.

The group met at Leb-I Derya in İstanbul and discussed everything from politics, to their individual times with TFAS.

“We had a delightful evening with Mr.Teague here in Istanbul,” said alumna Doga Taslardan (I 00), who planned the get-together for area alumni.

HUNGARIAN ALUMNI REUNION

On August 12, over 15 alumni from 2004-2009 attended a reunion held at Grandio Pub in the Old Town area of Budapest.

The alumni had the chance to reconnect with one another, network with new acquaintances and reminisce about their time in AIPES.

The group traveled from different parts of Hungary for the reunion.

“With our lives being so busy after AIPES and university, I welcome the chance to meet up with some old friends and make new ones. These events are priceless in terms of our professional development and personal lives in such a hectic world,” said Marsci Boros (A 05). “AIPES has served as a springboard for my motivation to create my own business as well as expand my international horizons. I look forward to planning more events around Hungary in the near future.”

NYC ALUMNI ATTEND LIVE TAPING

New York City area alumni attended the taping of Stossel on Tuesday, September 28 on the topic of Voting.

The shows guests included author P.J. O'Rourke, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and John Fund, author and editorial page staffer at The Wall Street Journal.

Chapter president Paul Glader (J 99, A 00), who is a reporter for the WSJ gave a tour of their new offices at the News Corp. building after the taping.
