Erin Brett, Director Communications
Erin Brett came to The Fund for American Studies in May 2004. She manages the communications department and serves as editor and creative director for TFAS publications.
Brett is currently studying for a master's degree in public communication at American University in Washington. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh where she double majored in communication and art history with concentrations in theater arts and writing.
During college, Brett was selected to work as a Pitt Pathfinder to promote the university to potential students and their families. Her most memorable experience was studying abroad in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North Africa aboard the S.S. Universe Explorer as a participant in the Semester at Sea program. Brett also took part in Global Service Learning and Documentary Photography, a study abroad program in Ireland. While in Ireland Brett worked at a homeless shelter and studied photojournalism.
